The Habs are going off the board for this one. With their 3rd selection in this year's draft, the Montreal Canadiens select Toni Rajala from Parkano, Finland.
Rajala recorded 19 points in 6 games at the last world under-18's, breaking Ovechkin's 2002 record of 18 points. Tremendous talent, but very small.
He just signed a contract with the Oilers, and has comited to play for serious Mem. Cup contenders, and host, Brandon Wheat Kings for the upcoming season. Hopefully his CHL development will see him gain some size, and it is known that Finnish/Swedish players tend to mature later than their north american counterparts.
Hoping for great things from Rajala.
Picks so far:
Evander Kane David Rundblad Toni Rajala

Philly will get grace until 12 PM (hopefully they make it earlier) on these clocks because it's late and a couple teams may have not seen the clock is back on message, however this won't be tolerated sometime farther down in the draft.
