Thanks For The MemoriesAfter 20 seasons, Edmonton Oilers Captain Joe Sakic is hanging up the skates. Sakic leaves the game as one of the best to ever lace them up. 8th on the all-time scoring list, and known as one of the greatest leaders, and clutch scorers of all-time. The Oilers have already announced that Sakic's #19 will be raised to the rafters @ their home opener this upcoming season, on what has been appropriately named, Joe Sakic Night. GM BLAKE:" Joe has always been an amazing player, one of the best. It's sad to see him hang up the skates, but i respect his decision, and there is no question he will always have a home here. The next step, is too look forward. Thanks for the memories Joe"
