We would first like to thank Co-Commissioner Anthony for a so far, even though early, smooth running draft. We would also like to congratulate the Pittsburgh Penguins on steamrolling through these playoffs. Last but not least would also like to thank the Edmonton Oilers on making a good enough offer to take the #1 pick off our hands, it helped both franchises and we are glad that we can still nab a guy we really wanted at the #5.
With the 5th overall pick in the 2009 SINHL Draft, the Boston Bruins proudly select from the Brandon Wheat Kings out of the WHL, forward Brayden Schenn.
