Guys This poll is up b/c I want a league wide vote on SB's.
A great point was brought to my attention. In the NHL, a player can only get bonus' on top of an entry level contract or a 35 and older contract.
Because these bonus' count against the cap in the NHL, and we can not have that here in the SINHL b/c of the program, should we just avoid signing bonus' and incentive laden bonus'?
You all need to decide! And do it quick, please!
Thanks

I'm not apposed to signing bonuses aslong as the count vs the cap which pretty much makes them pointless tho

yea its impossible to have them count towards the cap b/c of the way the program is structured. they will be deducted from team finances at the end of every year

it's actually very easy. i will have a money chart players with SBs will be put into my database. i will make a list of all bonus' the player gets at the end of the year, i see if they met that bonus, and deduct it from finances.

I say no, to prevent idiots like Edmonton making a 6 million signing bonus offer to a bum like Markus Naslund.

I rather not see any signing bonus myself.
I know you say it is easy for you to do and deduct the finances at the end of the year but it is another thing you have to do. To me the less "clerical" work the better for the commish and co-commish IMO.
