With the SINHL's season approaching, the Long Island Islanders have been busy setting there organization up for success now, and for the future. GM Dan Ramage has done a good job in making his team younger without sacrificing alot of talent. " The Previous gm liked veterans im guessing" stated Dan " Thats all well and good but I feel that you need a future to be a constant threat every year." His most recent moves reflect this new direction. The 1st deal was he sent Michal Rozsival and a 2nd round pick to the Penguins in exchange for young Swedish defenceman Niklas Hjalmarsson and a 4th round pick. " I really like this deal" stated Dan " I sacrifice some skill now but I gain a 23 year old dman for the future as well as now". His next deal was with the Sharks sending Dan Cleary Trent Hunter and Robyn Figren to the Sharks for Milan Michalek and a 6th round pick. "I really wanted to add another talented winger and I did that by trading a couple mid liners and a fringe prospect... I like it" was Dan's thoughts on the trade. The most recent trade was with the Sabres acquiring Alex Goligoski and Fedor Tyutin in exchange for talented swedish dman Niklas Kronwall. " I really wanted to keep kronnie" stated Dan " But this deal helps me keep other core pieces of our team around in the future".
Here is a brief look of Dan's potential lineup

Tkachuk-Turris-Okposo
Kunitz-Fisher-Bernier
